The establishment of the Information Systems Department came in response to the growing societal and market needs for information systems and technology solutions, which have become a necessity rather than a luxury or a choice, playing an active role in the development plans of our country. It is an honor for me to chair this prestigious department, one of the pillars of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Helwan University.

The department consistently strives to keep pace with the rapid scientific advancements in the field of information systems and technology and to contribute to achieving Egypt's Vision 2030. This is accomplished by continuously updating curricula and programs to prepare graduates with the skills needed to enter the job market, equipping them to handle tasks related to the development, design, and management of information systems in companies and institutions at large.
